Ratings:
Taste: 13/20
Flavour: 13/20
Buy again: 15/20
Aroma: 7/10
Satisfaction: 8/10
Complexity: 7/10
Intangible: 8/10
Handwritten notes: This beer is actually quite good. It's not overly hoppy, with the hops being used (as they should be) as an introduction to the "true beer" flavour. Pretty dad-gum good. Maybe if they renamed it "dangerous vagabond pale ale" it would add a bit of class. "Drifter" is a bit too general. But I guess "filthy hobo ale" wouldn't sell as well.

I recall the Drifter being a monster-sized grapefruit beast. Sweet, not bitter. Did you pick up on that?

Absolutely. It was more round, and the sweetness came from what I thought was a high ABV (turned out it was "only" 5.73%).
The fact that it was not straight-up bitter makes it more palatable.
But, wait a minute, I do love bitter as well. Ah hell, now you've got me lost, Lost. You should start a techo-rock group with a fellow named "Found". Just a suggestion.
