Handwritten notes: Crisp, but lifeless, like a fish out of water after the flippity-flops have gone and all that is left is the struggle to live. I’m not saying this beer needs to be clubbed over the head and gutted. Nor am I saying you should return it to the water with your thanks and well-wishes. What am I saying? When I get boring beers to review I start to make up nonsense. My fear is that after a few more boring beers I will start to sound like Charlie Manson. This beer is good enough, but there is nothing about it that would make you say “man, I need a friggin’ Kozel”.

Handwritten notes: This beer has the usual front office staff: a blast of flowery hops and a bittersweet maitre-d'. The real star of this beer is the lingering aftertaste of a backbone. Nice, with a wheaty sort of influx at the end. It's all about the evolution of flavours. It's all about the trip, and I like the destination with this one.
