Handwritten notes: Lady Godiva may have been a freedom rider, but this beer has little or nothing in common with the late Bea Arthur, except for the fact that it is as strong as a rhinoceros in heat. Maudite has the same sort of profile as the Trois Pistoles beer by the same company, being a host of dried fruit and complimenting spices. This beer is a bit less pungent, carrying a musty sort of goodness. I try to avoid words like "smooth" but that's the way this beer goes down.
