Label Reads: "Trois Pistoles is a remarkably mellow dark ale. To compliment its aroma of ripe fruit, it has a pleasant aftertaste that lingers on like old port wine. THE LEGEND OF THE BLACK HORSE: Summoned in a moment of holy despair, the devil, in the form of a big black steed, appeared to help raise a church that was long overdue in the troubled village of Trois Pistoles."

Handwritten notes: Like a butter tart - mincemeat, spies (clove, cinnamon, allspice), with a caramel burnt-butter finish. This is like comfort food in beer form. And it may be that I'm sick right now and this is messing with my medicine, but I just want to curl up with this beer like it's a teddy bear. The odd thing is that the colour of the beer is exactly like that of my grandma's butter-tarts. A cleary-dark-darker-yellow, depending on how the glass is held. Like, Trois Pistoles is French for three pistols, eh?
