Today the brewery that bears his name proudly offers August Schell Pilsner, an exceptional beer brewed in the traditional European style. Its golden color, balanced hop/malt character and delicious, smooth flavor make it a legend true to the style. Enjoy the great taste of Pilsner from America's second oldest, family-owned brewery."

Handwritten notes: Nice, fresh taste with a good finish of bitterness... the body is a bit suspect, tasting of honey or some such... sweet on the lips but bitter in the throat... Kind of like a vampire. What? There's something in the water in American beers that is a bit different from Canadian beers.
