Handwritten notes: This beer has a lot of things going for it – it is light, citrussy and refreshing. I just can’t help but feel it has been dumbed down for the North American palate. There is something ominous beneath its Kraut exterior that panders to my base desire for a lifeless alcohol delivery device. It would make a good every day beer, though, and since I haven’t used that label in a dog’s age, I will use it now.
