Handwritten notes: This is Canada's answer to the Vienna Lager like Blue is the answer to Pilsner. One of my friends had a step-dad who typified the O.V. lifestyle. My friend's step-dad was always getting grief from his wife about how much he drank. One weekend, my friend's mom was out of town and my friend and I had to drive this step dad, let's call him "Stevie" to his company barbecue. Stevie swore up and down to his wife (my friends' mom) he would only drink 9 beers. (I know, "only"). My friend and I (and Stevie) stopped at the local vendor to get a six-pack. While Stevie was in the store we opened his cooler. Sure enough, there were three beers, which (plus the six he was buying) would be the nine beers he was allowed. Everything checked out. We soon discovered that Stevie has meticulously crafted a false bottom to the cooler, which, underneath, lay 15 further OVs. God bless you, Stevie.

Absolutley true. That guy was the MacGuyver of alcoholics. We also used to always find King Cans of OV (called "Big Kahunas") tucked up into the ceiling panels in the basement. There must have been 20 of them up there.

Really, it seems like we get 2 or 3 new beers each week here in Manitoba. It's just that I have ADD so I become really interested in posting then distracted by making borscht.
I have about 10 more ready to go, which I will get to tonight.
Also I'm heading down the the US and A in two weeks so I'll come home with a carful of goodies I'm sure.
